Drew looked over at her as he was driving home. “I’m sorry I am in a shitty mood. This is happy I know.. just my parents stopped by that first night you had her.. you were asleep… they pretty much just told me off. So everyone keeps saying that oh your parents must be so proud…. well there not and it hurt.” Drew shrugged opening up to her, he knew he had to let it go not wanting to ruin a moment for her. Glancing over at her once they were in the driveway. “Look I love you and our daughter very much.. were going to have a good first Christmas together as a family alright?” Drew leaned over and kissed her cheek just as Lani fussed again, Drew dropped his head to her shoulder and laughed a bit. “Let me guess any time I try to show affection to you or get it in she’s going to fuss?” Drew joked around and then shut the car off. “Alright Lani daddy’s coming hang on.” Drew got out of the car and went into the back grabbing the baby. Drew unzipped his heavy jacket as he laid his daughter against his chest and zipped her up just so her head was exposed. “There you go baby girl you should stay warm now.” Drew had this huge smile on his face, whenever he had his daughter close like that Looking over at Bianca he nodded and got out walking up to their apartment slowly with her. He waited until she unlocked the door and slipped his hand into hers as he led her back to the nursery, opening the door it was a light purple room but the real key behind it was Drew had painted a mural of a tree growing on the wall, really detailed. Drew walked over to the changing table and laid Lani on it, he made a face as he changed her diaper. “Do you want to hold her.. or do you want me to try to put her to bed for a little while babe?” Drew asked Bianca as he dressed their daughter again and gently rocked her in his arms as she grabbed onto Drew’s shirt.
Bianca let a soft sigh fall from her lips before shrugging. “It’s fine I guess…all that should really matter though is her and me Drew.” She didn’t want the way his parents had acted to ruin this for them. This was suppose to be a happy moment that they could look back on and have positive thoughts of. It was the first time they were bringing their baby home it needed to be something special. “I love you to.” She said softly, smiling at the kiss she laughed as Lani began to whine again. “Let’s hope not..or else you’ll never be able to have sex again.” She teased raising an eyebrow. Knowing the way he was he would most likely go crazy if he couldn’t make love to her. They had already gone a long nine months without it, and she wasn’t sure how much longer either of them would be able to make it. She knew he was at the point where he just wanted to jump her. Slowly getting out of the car and making her way up to their apartment, she was glad that he waited for her and walked her speed. Taking his hand in hers and intertwining their fingers she let him lead her into the nursery that he had been working extremely hard on for their daughter. As soon as she stepped into the room and smile spread across her face looking around at everything he had done to it, every little thing about it was perfect. “Drew this is amazing..thank you.” She said with a slight laugh. Hearing his question she went over to them. “I’ll take her.” Bianca already loved being able to hold their daughter, having a hard time letting her go even for a few minutes. Taking the baby from him she soothed her down as she whimpered softly.
Drew was ready to bring his daughter and fiance home, he was tired of being home alone. Drew went to the nursery first to pick up their baby. Carrying her down the halls everyone stopped him and he was getting quickly annoyed he wanted to just go home and have his family to himself. After the incident with his parents, Drew was in a foul mood. Walking into the room he just gave her a half smile. “Hey.. you ready to get out of here? If I have one more person stop me I may just hit someone.” Drew groaned hearing Lani start to fuss. He set the carrier down he gently picked up his daughter making sure to support her head. “Come on you can grab that and we can get her home and into her nursery.” Drew smirked and stepped in front of her as he was leaving leaning down starting to kiss her gently needing it to calm him down. He pulled away after a few minutes and bit his lip. A small relaxed smile appeared on his face as he tried to soothe the crying baby down as he brought her out to the car he had the car running with the heat on so she would stay warm. “Tomorrows Christmas.” Drew smirked and got into the car with Bianca and drove them all home. “So you ready to see the nursery?” Drew asked as he parked the car in the drive way.
Bianca made a face hearing what he had said. She already wasn’t liking the mood he seemed to be in. People were stopping him, so what? How was that such a big deal? He seemed to..agitated when right now she thought he should be nothing but happy. They were getting to take their baby girl home, that should be something that was exciting for them. “What’s wrong with you? Why’s it such a bad thing that people are stopping you?” She asked narrowing her eyes at him slightly. Shaking her head she stood up from the bed, and then rolled her eyes when he groaned at their daughters cries. “She’s gonna cry Drew, you might as well get used to it.” Though she wasn’t meaning to have some sort of attitude with him, it seemed like that was the kind of front he was putting him so she was going to give him the same thing back. Hearing his request she just looked at him for a second, not really sure how to respond to that. “Oh yeah sure Drew, I just had a baby and it hurts like hell to even walk, but I’ll be more then happy to carry something out to the car for you.” She said, her voice dripping with heavy sarcasm, not understanding why he couldn’t take the carrier out to the car. Picking up the carrier with a sigh she started to follow him out the door but was stopped when he stepped in front of her. Feeling his lips against hers she kissed him back, that managed to relax her a bit again. Going out to the car with him she got in and then nodded. “Yeah, I know.” Once they got back home she looked over at him with a smirk. “Of course I’m ready to see it.”
Drew rolled his eyes at her just going to let her teasing slide tonight. He looked down at the little bundle asleep in his arms. She was a vision of Bianca, the same round face and what was going to be a small nose. The baby’s fingers were already slender. Drew picked up his daughters hand gently examining the tiny hand as if it was registering that all of this was real. In that moment he knew he would do anything to protect his family even if it meant he had to die to save them. That thought alone scared him a bit but the weight of the world was on his shoulders. He watched her fall asleep against him and smiled. “My two favorite girls.” Drew whispered. Hearing a knock on the door Drew gently got up motioning for his mother to go out in the hall. He looked back at his sleeping fiance and smiled. “Mom look I know your mad.” Drew said as he shut the door trying not to wake his daughter up. “I am more then beyond mad Drew, we leave you guys alone for a few months and you knock her up again? Oh and after nine months of not speaking to us you send a photo of our granddaughter to us the day she’s born? Did we not have a right to know?” Drew glared at his mother’s raised voice as he kept his daughter asleep, gently rubbing her back. “Your the one that sent me to my mothers to be abused, you haven’t wanted anything to do with me for over a year. So don’t tell me that your disappointed in me or whatever. Bianca has been my family and will continue to be as we raise our daughter. If anything you should be happy for me.” Drew tried to hold back the tears in his eyes, his parents cutting him to the core with their actions. “Be happy? Drew you threw your life away along with Bianca. Your a man though so we can’t control you. Son just know this won’t be easy.” Drew turned his eyes to his father and just put on a game face nodding. “I’ll do anything it takes for them. Have a good christmas you guys.” Drew said as his father shook his head the disappointment on the older man’s face nearly killed him as he watched his father walk away just like his mother. Slipping back into the room, Drew thought she was still asleep so he went and grabbed a chair facing the window as he let the tears stream down his cheeks silently.
The next afternoon Bianca and Lani were given the okay to go home. This gave Bianca a mix of emotions which were either happy and excited or scared and nervous. Once they left the hospital they would be on their own, having to learn how to take care of a baby properly. She was realizing that they really had no help at all. Drew’s parents seemed pretty pissed last time she heard, so she really didn’t expect them to want to help out in any way or form. And there was now way in hell she was going to ask her aunt for help..yeah her aunt wanted to see the baby so she was planning on taking Lani over later, but that didn’t mean she was exactly happy that Bianca now had a child of her own. After getting dressed in the clothes Drew had brought by for her, she sat on the edge of the hospital bed and just lost herself in her thoughts. A small smile crept up on her lips knowing they actually had a baby to call their own now..this was something she never thought would of happened. Hearing the door open she looked up seeing Drew coming in the room. “Hey you.” She said with a smirk. Bianca was more then ready to leave this place, she hated anything that had to do with hospitals or doctors.
“I’m sorry love bug. I wish I could take this part of the pain from you.” Drew just watched in awe as their daughter wiggled in his arms a bit, he never thought he would be holding his child for the first time. It was something he would remember forever. “She’s beyond adorable. She’s perfect Bianca.” Drew looked up at her and shrugged. “Who know’s.. all I know is nothing is going to ruin this day for us I promise.” Drew kissed the side of her head, this day was about them and their new family nothing to do with his parents. “Are you going to bring the baby to see your Aunt.. or want to after we get done with settling in at home and everything?” drew asked softly as he gently laid the baby against his chest smiling when Lani took a fist full of his shirt. “I’m not going anywhere baby girl. Daddy’s going to protect you don’t worry. Just sleep my love.” Drew whispered to his daughter soothingly feeling her settle down until she was calm and asleep against him. “I think I have a knack for this.” Drew smirked proud that he was being an alright father so far. Drew looked at Bee and kissed her forehead wrapping his arm around her again. “You should get some sleep too.. I can watch her don’t worry.”
Bianca just sighed softly with a light shrug. “It’s not your fault..well actually in a way it is.” She teased with a small smirk. Though the pain had been terrible, to her it was all worth it; being able to see the little baby and hold her. Reality hadn’t sunk in until their daughter was placed in her arms for the first time..this was all real. Their lives were now changed for good because they had a child to raise..but she really wouldn’t have it any other way. For the past nine months this is what she had been waiting for and now that she was actually able to see the baby girl that had been growing inside her, she was beyond happy nothing was going to ruin this mood she was in. Watching Lani cuddle up to Drew’s chest and fall asleep she smiled shaking her head. He was already doing so amazing with their daughter she really didn’t understand why he had been so worried about being a father. Of course this was only just the beginning. “I don’t know yet..I’ll probably take her over there to see her after we get out of here, or in the next couple days.” With a light sigh she laid down, and hid her face against Drew’s side as she fell asleep.
Well that doesn’t sound like any fun..you should find something to do.
Drew watched around the room in amazement, just watching everything as they got her cleaned up along with their baby. Weighing her and checking her over Drew wanted nothing more then to hold their daughter. He had a permanent smile on his face not actually sure that he could lose it if he tried, he was a dad and while the thought was scary as hell it was also amazing. Drew looked down at her and laughed a bit. “You feeling ok now baby.” Leaning down he stole a quick kiss before she moved over on the bed. Drew got the hint and sat down with her, pulling her tired frame close to his side as their daughter was placed in her arms again. The tiny wails still filling the room. Drew gently stroked the baby’s cheek watching his daughter settle down. “Shh baby girl mommy has you.” It was odd calling Bianca mommy to the baby but that’s what they were now. Leaning down Drew finally gave his daughter a kiss on the forehead after months of kissing her pregnant belly Drew was more then glad that he could kiss their daughter.
Laying back he let Bianca have mother daughter time knowing that was what she had been wanting all along Drew just rubbed her side gently watching the two with open love, but when she asked if he wanted to hold the baby fear set into him. He hadn’t actually done anything fatherly at all, now all of a sudden he had to and the thought of hurting the tiny baby was killing him the last thing he wanted was to hurt his daughter. He sat up hesitantly, gently taking his daughter in his arms he was stiff as a board until he realized that he wasn’t going to drop her, relaxing down Drew started smiling again. “you better not end up with my hair lani.” Drew teased seeing a dark tuft of hair on his daughters head, his hair was impossible which was why he spiked it all the time. Watching his daughter stretch he just kept her head supported. “I can’t believe it.. we actually get to hold our daughter.” Drew got an idea and took a photo of the little girl and sent it to his parents looking at bee with a slight chuckle. “They now know of their grandchild” Drew wasn’t going to tell them in person no way in hell.
Bianca shook her head hearing his question. “No..not really, my entire body hurts and I’m tired us hell.” She said with a slightly laugh. Kissing him back she poured her love for him into the kiss, nothing could ruin the happy mood she was in right now. This was going to be a day that she would always remember, that was for sure. Moving over on the bed a bit she looked up at him, giving him the clue to sit down next to her. At the moment she just wanted to have him close, and make sure they were sharing all of this together, that he was as happy as she was right now. As the brought their daughter back over to them she gently took the baby in her arms again. Smiling when Drew soothed her down, how was he already doing so amazing? “Hey baby girl.” She said softly with a smirk, gently she let her fingertips brush across the tiny baby’s forehead. After a few moments passed she looked at Drew who was relaxed next to her. “You want to hold her?” She asked, though she really wasn’t going to give him an option..it was his daughter and he needed to be able to experience holding her for the first time. Gently she placed the baby in his arms, a smile on her face at the sight. “Oh shush..she’s adorable.” Watching him take a picture she bit her lip. “Are they gonna come up here yelling and screaming now?”
